Christ and Christmas- Mary and Elisabeth

38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;40 And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

Luke 1:38-45

  1. 1.this passage is talking about after the angel came to mary saying that she would bear Jesus.also that she went to her cousin elisabeth and elisabeth was filled with the holy ghost.also i think mary went to elisabeth after because mary was pregnant at a young age and elisabeth was pregnant at an old age.

Zachariah ur wife is almost 100 and having a baby boy named John. But it’s ok cuz God has chosen u. And Mary as 14 years old. Well an angel came to her and said Mary I know ur 14 but ur pregnant. And so people of our generation these days, r like omg what am I gonna do?!?!? I don’t have a husband and no food or a house!! But this wasn’t Mary, Mary just said alright God if u chosen me. Ik I’m gonna be alright! Cuz u chosen me! So I thought tht as amazing how Mary was do calm durning it all! 🙂 great Devo love u guys! And

    1. This passage says that when the angle came to tell zachariah about his baby the angel went to Mary and told her about her baby and she was like oh what ever god wants and then he went to the house of Zachariah and they we’re both filled with the holy ghost.
    2. It brings that Mary was willing to have him and that Elizabeth was happy to have her baby as well!

Tell me if I did a bad job because I think I messed up o some. 🙂

What i think the passage said was the the angel gaberial came down to Zachariah and told him about bady Jesus. The angle also went to mary and told her the news. Mary was calm the whole time and she said to the angle gaberial that she will do anything that god wants her to do.
What i think about Jesus is that he was a perfect man and made no mistakes. And that he died on the cross for our sins.

This passage is so incredible! The passage is saying that when Elisabeth heard about Mary, the baby in her stomach leaped for joy. Isn’t that so cool? The baby, who at this point was still growing and forming, leaped for joy at the news that Elisabeth had just heard. I think that is the neatest thing. John, leaped with happiness at the sound of Jesus. This passage shows how astounding Jesus is. Mary had just heard that she was going to be pregnant, and by the thought of it, it brought joy. Jesus wasn’t even born yet, and He still had people ready to be His follower. This goes to show how truly amazing Jesus is. Jesus is indescribeable, and I’m so lucky to be able to be a follower of Him. Jesus saved me of my filth, even if I continue to make a mess to this day, He still loves me anyway, and for that, I can honestly say how greatful I am for Him. I was reading Mark last night, and no matter how many times I read the story of how Jesus gave Himself for us, I get chills everytime. We’re celebrating Jesus’ birthday in 3 days, can you believe it?

Mary was Blessed to have Baby Jesus, And when Elisabeth spoke the baby leaped with joy.

It reminds me that Jesus was perfect and he is our Saviour
