Accountable to God: Day 16

January 30, 2012
Today’s Text:  Read Psalm 139:16, Psalm 119:73
Today’s Key Thought:  God made every person according to His plan.

Think about the word “accident.”  When you think about that word does it bring up a positive image or a negative image?  Generally speaking we don’t think of “accidents” as good things.  “I was in an accident.”  “I’m sorry.  It was an accident.”  The word isn’t necessarily negative.  You can do something positive on accident, but generally when things aren’t done on purpose it leads to negative results.

Today, I’ve got great news to tell you.  Our God has never done anything on accident.  We serve a very purposeful and intentional God.   And here is some great news for you as well:  YOU ARE NOT AN ACCIDENT.  God made you on purpose.  God created you and has a plan for your life.  You may feel like your life has no meaning or worth, but with God this is not the case.  He loves you, and He created you on purpose!

Application:
Since God created you on purpose that also means He owns you!  Your life really does belong to Him, but He allows you to make the choices that you do.  The right response to knowing that He created you is to submit to what He wants you to do in every area of your life.  Think about this:  God created you on purpose.   Are you living for Him according to His purposes for you?

I think that it’s awesome that I belong to god and that god owns my life whoohoo!! 🙂 I think I am living my life according to his purpose for me hehe I make good choses and sometimes I don’t I want to be perfect for god because that’s what he wants a world or person without sin and I am living the life that god wants for me and when I mess up I have my mom, friends, my church, and god to tell me that I messed up hehe! 🙂 so to answer that question again if it wasnet clear the first time yes! 🙂

This is very cool to think about God doesn’t have accidents so every thing that has ever happened in the Bible and in life today with God is not an accedent wich it also says we are not an accedent God made us for a reason and we need to do it sometimes I feel like I’m no doing my purpose that God wanted me to do but other times I do feel like I see what God wants me to do and the stuff that I am doing isn’t really that big like saving hundreds of kids but I am doing something like inviting some kids to the super bowl party so they can hear the gosspel just stuff like that and I am praying that I will get the courage to just start witnessing to kids so just pray for me.

    Sorry a day late————
All you have to do is look at me and you can see God makes no mistakes!! (just joking!) I don’t know how anyone looks around at God’s creation, or looks at the miracle of a new life, and can think ACCIDENT! it is truly amazing when you really start to think about all God has made. From the blade of grass to a person—really cool. So since He created me, He must have a “purpose” for my life. I can live according to His purpose if I just listen through His Word, and talk to Him through prayer. God will show me what His purpose is for me if I submit to Him and listen. Since He made me, He must know what is good for me.

Again, I think I am sometimes living according to His purpose, and a lot of times living for mine. I need to submit to God 100% of the time.
