I always have good intentions when making my New Year’s resolutions. Usually one week later i have blown it. So I make resolutions that are very attainable. This year’s resolutions: One, don’t make my bed any more. Two, Eat more junk food. Three, watch more t.v. and last but not least, shop more. (just kidding.) Although those would be a lot easier, I don’t think I would see a lot of “growth” in 2012.
I really want to focus on not so much making a resolution for 2012, but making a more permanent life style change that goes beyond one year. I definitely want to do my devotionals on a daily basis. I am asking any one of you that is consistent with their devotions to call me on it if you see me skipping out. I will not be offended. I definitely need to be more prayerful. I need to slow down and recognize what is important in my life and what isn’t. Actually, school is important to me since I home-school my girls. Truthfully, I am not having a good attitude about starting back up Monday. I get really tired and a little burned out with it. But I am praying for God to give me a good attitude about it and praying for some excitement towards it. I would appreciate your prayers when it comes to our home school. I never feel like I have enough time to do everything I need to do with home schooling, but I know that God has called me to do it so I need to focus on that and not be worried about every thing else. When it comes to my family I need to have more patience. It is difficult home schooling and having my mother in law living with us. She is a wonderful woman, but it gets more and more difficult as her disease progresses. I need a lot of prayer in this area.
I am planning on staying committed to Sonshine Baptist Church. I love my church and all my Pastors and their wives. I believe the leadership at Sonshine has a real, sincere love for the Lord and I am honored to be a part of such a wonderful church. I love H2o and all the youth. I plan on staying 100% committed to our youth group. I pray we will grow and add more students this year that may not know the Lord. Lastly, I plan on continuing my goal of achieving black belt in TKD. This won’t happen by the end of 2012 but i will keep working hard at each belt level.
Happy New Year to all of you, I love all of you very much.
This year I wanna be able to be so close to my family tht it isn’t funny. Like Im not tht close with them cuz we all have different intrests, like my dad and brothers r in to motocross so I thought tht I could try it out so I am now starting to ride a dirtbike. 🙂 and with my mom she’s at work alot, but I still try to make time.. U know just for me and her!!!:)
& I thought tht this Devo was really creative! 🙂 love u guys and c u tmrw!!!! 😀
I have some goals, like getting all A’s in school and I’m almost there too ummm…my other goal is too try not to judge a book by its cover alot and I do that with alot of people and I know it’s not fair to them to judge them before you even get to know them oh and I Problably have alot more goals for the new year but when I think of some you guys will be the first to know haha! 🙂
My goals for the new year are to share God’s word more I did it a few times in this year 2011 but I want to do it more and lead some people to Christ. My althletic goal is to make it on the junior varsity team of north port high and just to grow a lot this year in God just keep growing in him and do my devotions more.
This is probably the first year that I’ve really wanted a change. My relationship with God is so important to me, and I want it to be all the time, not just when it’s convenient.
I have a few goals, and like Laura said, not just a year goal, but a permanent change. I want to be an impact on my school. I’ve tried inviting friends to church since school started, and one of my friends had come, but I know I sure have a lot more friends out there that don’t know Jesus. I want to impact lives for God, and my school is a great place to do that. I also hope to continue to grow personally. We’ll never be up to God’s standard, which means there is always going to be room to grow and continue to make our relationship with God stronger. My prayer life hasn’t been as it should be lately and I really want to make that a top priority. With that being said, I’m here for all of you, and I want to pray for anything you guys need prayer for. I already try and pray for each and everyone of you as it is, because I see you guys growing all the time and it’s so amazing to me! I only have a few more months as a student here in h2o student ministries. I’d like to think I’ve made an impact on you guys, and really helped some of you, but for I’m really going to make sure I continue to be here for all of you. You have no idea how cool it is to see how much you’ve all grown. I’ve grown right alongside with you, and it’s been an amazing journey. I can’t wait to continue it! Love all of you! Happy new years eve! 🙂
some of my goals this year are:
1. Do my devotions everyday, and try to have a better relationship with God.
2. Work better in school & try to get straight A’s
3. Minister to at least one person per month this year! 12 people per year ! I really hope I can do this considering it is my most difficult goal!
4. Spend more time with God (in prayer), and my family.
– Please pray for me that I can complete these goals this year !!
You guys have mentioned so many good goals! I think for me, it’s some of the same goals I had this summer. A better relationship with God is always number one for me! & what we’ve been talking about here, having a pure heart. I also want to be more loving! I’ve realized I’m not always nice to people a lot of times so I want to try and change that! I really want to better my relationships with my family and friends! And last, I want to eat healthier. Haha I eat wayy too much junk food! I’ll be praying for all of you, that you guys can reach your goals. Pray for me to, thank you 🙂 I hope everyone has a good and safe new years! See you tomorrow at church!
