Today’s Text: 1 Timothy 6:17-19
Today’s Key Thought: I will be rich towards God.
Let’s review what we’ve learned this week.
“God has blessed me with more than I need. I am rich.- We ought to be thankful for what we have and recognize who we got it from.
But I will not trust in my riches, but in God who richly provides.- We ought not to trust in our stuff, but trust in God!
Since I have more, I will do more and give more.- With great blessings come great responsibilities.
I will view my wealth through the lens of eternity. I will be rich towards God.- I will take my temporary stuff and use it to make an eternal difference.
Application:
C.S. Lewis said it this way, “Aim at heaven and you will get earth thrown in. Aim at earth and you get neither.” C. S. Lewis.
Which target are you aiming for?
I don’t really get the question.. ? Help me please! 🙂
Ok so we are aiming for heaven so if we keep hanging on to stuff that is not going to heaven then we get neither heaven or earth but if we aim for heaven and not hold on to the stuff down here then we get to heaven we will have alittle bit of earth with us! 🙂 so did I get it right or at least did I get the point of it??
Sorry tristian I can’t really explain it but I think I got it so read mine or anyone’s and I think you’ll get the question!
I agree mafalda! We need to definitely aim for heaven! Good job!:)
